Salem is a fairly large city in Massachusetts known as the witch town due to the witch trials that took place in the late 1600s. There are numerous condominiums available for those who have an interest in buying property in an area with such intriguing history. Several of the properties include detached homes with up to four bedrooms, front patios and even upstairs decks. There’s something for everyone.

Living in Salem is both convenient and fun. It’s convenient to live in an area where tourists love to visit because that means there are plenty of ways to get around town. The public transportation options make it easy for the locals to get to some of their favorite places, whether they need to take a trip to the local Steve’s Quality Market for some groceries or to Jaho Coffee & Tea for a nice warm beverage with good friends. Although the grocery stores and coffee shops are convenient to have, there are other great places to visit, including the Art Corner, Peabody Essex Museum and House of Seven Gables.

The housing market in Salem is quite stable and the homes are only a small percentage higher than the average cost of homes in the state of Massachusetts, typically because they have more space to offer to the homeowners. The city is a low-crime area with a lot of different places for children to visit and keep busy, including the library, Furlong Park and the Witch Dungeon museum. Outside of the heavily populated tourist area, there are nearly two dozen different schools for those who live in the city. Those who live in the city have a higher chance of completing high school and graduating on time than those who live in other cities. When the children aren’t in school, they may enjoy taking trips to the Northshore Mall or visiting the Brooksby Farm. Salem is a safe community with lots to do and see.
