There is even a farm where you can go pick your own peaches. East Lake Tohopekaliga is almost five miles in diameter, is very clear, and is great for bass fishing. Look for the rare, protected Florida sandhill crane along the shore. There are several companies that do boat tours and fishing to help even the greenest of fishermen catch a bass. Spend the day searching for alligators and other wildlife on an airboat. The town’s Lakefront Park has a marina, bike path, fishing pier, performing arts pavilion, playground, splashpad, banquet hall and more. For children, there are a variety of schools to choose from, including charter, multi-level and alternative schools, and even an Osceola County School for the Arts. Although rapidly growing, Saint Cloud, FL is a quiet small town with plenty to do and a close proximity to Orlando.
