Nestled into the southern end of Florida’s Gulf shore, Naples is a small beach city set amidst estuaries and barrier islands. On Florida’s quieter west coast, Naples is a relaxing city with many two- to four-bedroom condos situated next to golf courses, marinas and the Gulf of Mexico. The Naples lifestyle is easy and breezy and almost always warm – modern homes with large windows and open floor plans allow full enjoyment of the subtropical temperatures.
It seems hard not to have a great view in the Naples area. Homes with perfectly manicured lawns lining sweeping, pristine golf courses and lakes can be found in neighborhoods such as Audubon Bay in North Naples. For beach access and water views, Bay Forest offers mid-range townhouses with access to bike paths, a library and even a fishing pier. Abaco Bay in East Naples is home to an affordable, established condo community with a fitness center and pool. Naples has a well-deserved reputation for being built around neighborhoods with noticeably high standards of living. With the tranquility of The Everglades a stone’s throw away and the bustle of Miami only a two-hour drive down the road, Naples offers comfortable living surrounded by endless entertainment.
Its proximity to the Everglades National Park and Ten Thousand Islands makes Naples a hot ecotourism spot. Much of the economy is based largely on tourism and development. A relatively small city, the largest employers are the Collier County School District, with approximately 5,500 employees, and NCH Healthcare Systems with almost 4,000 employees. Collier County and the Home Depot make a sizeable contribution to the work force, and the rest of the job market is taken up by the food and hospitality industries. Several major hotels are located in the area, including a Ritz-Carlton and the Waldorf-Astoria Naples. For a city of such a small size, Naples has a lot to offer in terms of quality of life.
