Alafia River State Parka, Hillsborough River State Parks, and Lithia Springs provide plenty of natural beauty for residents and visitors experience first hand. Agriculture is the main industry in Lutz, and Hillsborough County as a whole has the second largest agricultural output among Florida’s counties. Strawberries represent the largest, most profitable crop. Hillsborough County extends all the way west to the Gulf of Mexico and up into Tampa. Lutz, with its convenient location, allows residents to experience the quaint living of a rural community, while offering the amenities of a bigger city nearby (Tampa). Some of Florida’s nicest parks, lakes, rivers, and even the Gulf of Mexico are also in close proximity to Lutz, allowing for simple access to some of the natural beauty Florida has to offer. The mixture of such an array of options surrounding the town, along with the hard working blue-collar nature of its residents, makes Lutz an intriguing, versatile place to live.
